Dear Hugh: I have a bog disc that I cannot get my 140 to lift high enough to clear the ground when traveling. The disc originally came with a 100. The blades are about 20 inches; thus the fast hitch point is extremely high. The only way I can get the disc high enough is to loosen the set collar and pull the control lever and let the control rod back and then put a pair of vice grips behind the compression spring to shorten the control rod. The control rod is anchored in the front in the position nearest the driver's seat and at the back in the upper hole in the rock shaft. However, changing these two positions, I don't believe will shorten the control rod enough to get a clearance. Is there any way to correct the problem without using the vice grips? I have the depth adjustment link in to raise the fast hitch. Thank you for any assistance you can give me.
