Well, a co-worker of mine still uses an old AC pull type combine. He uses it to do about 5 acres of grain a year. The way he figures it, even with the looks and comments that he gets, is that the combine has more than paid for itself, he paid $300 for it 10 years ago. He can combine his little grain field exactly when and how he wants, costs him a little in fuel, and about 5 hours seat time. (About an hour/acre) It only takes a small amount of room in his shed to store, works perfect, and suits his needs exactly. Why would he buy a new one or hire it done? Mark
