340U Hydraulic Pump

I recently purchased a 340U with some accessories that I wanted: PS/Dual Remotes & TA. Cannot get the Hydraulic system to work. There are two control handles at side of gas tank. Moving either handle does not put any pressure on system. I have changed all fluids. The pump has a hexagon plug vs my 60 model which does not. I am thinking the pump is bad-replacement is very costly. Also there is a third spindle/spool(?) from the right hand side. Connection is broken as is the connection on the rear which should connect to the hydraulic item on the lift. Manuals show nothing about this. Any advise appreciated.
