Another M question

Ok, what engineer came up with that 5th gear? My books says 16 mph, but I think its more like 20. Are the steering sector gear and shaft worm gear still available from Case IH? I've replaced wheel bearings, rebuilt the bolster (new bushings and thrust bearing) and adjusted the two stops up by the steering wheel but I still have quite a bit of play. It's really only noticable when in the 5th (a.k.a. "coming home") gear.
