That was the problem with almost any engine that had points and a condenser that wouldn't start.
Even some with brand new points. I've even istalled new points and the engine ran worse and these were made by Standard which are very good points. They gave me a new set and that set was ok. I think they even made ignition parts for mags too. Hal
