In my area of south central Missouri 8 volt batteries are available at our local farm and home type store. I saw them recently priced at $49.99 w/exchange. If the 6 volt charging components (generator and regulator) are good in your tractor the 8 volt should work just fine. Check your battery cables for being clean and size 1 wire or larger and it should work just fine.
