Ok I checked for the sound with the clutch engaged. There was no ticking or clacking noise with it engaged. The PTO and the belt pulley was disengaged fully also. I checked the fluid level for the trany with the little plug on the left side, and sludgey oil came out, but no water, so I guess that is a good thing. Do you think I should just change out the oil and see if that makes the difference, or should I check out the rest of the possibilities first?
