Super A One bottom

I picked up a one bottom plow the other day that has the numbers IH512504R1 stamped in the main beam. I looked through the archives but didn't see much information there. Can someone tell me the model of this plow. Also, I've seen this type of plow on a cub before but not on a Super A or 140. Think I remember there being a chain that ran from the beam to a bracket bolted to the right axle housing (not the lift chain) and a lever to adjust the drawbar height. Are these necessary on a 140?
