1941 H (4-H Resto Club Project)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys, A few guys and my dad started up a tractor restoration 4-H club, the project tractor is a 41 H, we are taking er right down, exept the tranny and crank shaft, cause they are still good. First meeting we talked about what we are going to do, and the second one, wich was on saturday we started wrenchin! We got all the usual off, fenders, tin,steering, pulley, front bolster and lots of other stuff, I really wanted to see how the engine comes apart. You know, once you take an engine apart, you see how easy they are. Now, the head is off, oil pan is off, oil pump is off, pistons are out. It sure is sweet!. We get to do some sand blasting, on the rims and stuff, the tin and engine are getting dunked in an acid bath or something, we also get to prime and paint it, and yes the tin work too!, At the first meeting the leader asked if we wanted the tin work done professionaly, or if we the club wanted to do it, every one but me said get it done by a professional, so i might get to paint the tin all by myself. But that might change. The motto for 4h is ''Learn to do by doing''. How are you going to learn to paint the tin if you dont try? I cant wait to get er done and show er off. I'm so exited! here is a couple pics, one is of the tractor all tore apart and ready to take the engine off, and the other is of me and some other guys takin the oil pan off. From what we know, and what we have researched, this is the first club of it's kind in Canada, So we have to make a booklet of how to restore an antique tractor. We put a book together, hand it in to Ontario 4-H, and the rest of 4-H in Canada has a book on how to restore an antique tractor. Does the U.S have any 4-H clubs like this? I know the FFA does something like this., but most are individual projects. Sorry for the long post but i just had to tell yall bout this! GIT-R-DONE!!!!!
