Brian, Roundup will kill whatever plant it touches in about 2 weeks. So be very careful where you spray. It does a thorough job if you follow directions to the letter. It travels down into the roots to kill the plant. Once it has entered the roots, it is no longer viable, so it won't kill anything else after that (though some studies claim residual effects - which are not a problem IMHO if you don't overuse it.) It doesn't affect other life forms, if you believe their literature, and I do. I wouldn't want to use it much, and we're not going to use it again, I hope, but as a one-time application, I'd do it. My question: how did you plow the sod? What implement(s)? Thanks, Bill in west Alabama
