David, on the Farmalls from the 450 series on down I have the best luck using 80-90 wt gear lube as it does not leak through every gasket and seal that has not been replaced. I tried using Hy-tran on my M Diesel when I reworked it and had drips everywhere.I drained it and put heavy gear lube back in and hardly a trace. Usually shows up at the outer axle seals and pto seals first. Hope this helps. Migraine
