Detergent vs. Non-detergent Oil

About 4 years ago, I switched from non-detergent 30 weight oil to 10w-30 in my '47 M. It has been working pretty well so far and definitely makes a difference in the winter. Today, I bought non-detergent 30 weight oil and am going change the oil and run it this summer. I am just checking to see if there is any problem with doing this and just would like a general opinion of detergent vs. non-detergent......Thanks
