We bought a good running gear at an auction, we are going to put a new top on it to haul our plows around, was trying to figure out what kind it was, even though it don't matter cause it's getting painted red. My bro bought a precision Mccormick flarebox wagon at a toy show, the gear under it looks just like the real one, it has the holes for the box pegs to sit in and everything, so i thought it to be ih. Got the dirt wiped off the serial plate and i can just make out NEW IDEA on it, it had traces of orange and green paint on it. Did a company make running gears and sell them to different companys like IH, New Idea and John Deere, and they would paint them red or orange or green, and put their serial tag on it? the wheels on the toy and our real one are the same, so is the tounge and steering. I'm confused!!
