Randy, I hesitate to offer an opinion differing from Hugh"s as he is always right on the money...but we had problems with 14.9x38 Titan 4 plys we put on our JD 70, but they were purchased as blems and were began to get side wall cracks within 2 years (one side wall split where there was a noticeable lump when new) we have since switched to Firestone Field and Roads, we pull with the tractor alot, and we get the pressures wayyyy down sometimes, we also put a substantial amount of time on it pulling a 555 3 bottom trailer plow and have had no problems. Also have the same tires in 13.6x38 on our Super H which also goes to pulls alot and can be found pulling either a 3 or 2 bottom trailer plow depending upon the ground. Pete

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
