No Sir! I'd never, ever laugh at what you are doing 'cause you've got 'er nailed, that's for sure. I know, sounds crazy right? But you've disced it at least twice in the same direction. Tractor is not dualed up and it looks like the disc is running with the wheels down? You've got compaction building in those tire tracks even tho you can't see it. Run 'er the same direction again with the drill and sooner or later chances are that the tire tracks are gonna land right back on themselves yet once more. When this happens, and after the crop has emerged, you will see the tire tracks in the height of the crop until after the 4th of July or longer. Drilling crosswise (or any differing angle) of the tillage lessens the effect. I always tried to run every pass of the tillage at a different angle, say 35 or 40 degrees from square. Then, when it came time to plant, just run true to direction either way. At least, that's the way it works in this country. Maybe it is different in your land and with your soil types. Allan
