I remember the first time I just "barely" nicked a fence post when I was 9yrs old...and the breakaway DID work. Of course I wasn't familiar at the time with the breakaway feature... Boy, I thought I was a dead duck for halfway tearing the bar off the mower! Grandad, however, just got on the tractor and backed it up against the same post and presto- good to go again. Sure had me sweating for awhile though!
