Initially when I started out Doctor told me to check first thing in morning before any food and at bedtime after my days eating. As my Doctor said,"We know how to manage diabetes, many other things we don't, your lucky." Since I raised this on YT, I have had several personal e mail from people who they them selves or relatives have one of these unmanagable diseases, not pleasant reading. In raising this diabetes subject, I was not looking for pity, but rather wanted to raise awareness. Also wanted to have a bit of fun with the diet issue between my good half and the so called one man line up at her kitchen, up to an hour before meal time.

I'm happy to report that on Fri. I broke the 6.0 barrier with a morning reading of 5.9. Since then my morning readings have been 5.3 to 5.7 with evening coming in around 7.0. On Sat. morning I unloaded 36 empty big vegetable bins (oak) and reloaded the trailer with full ones stacked two high. (2,600 to 3,000 each pair) A fork lift operator set these on back of trailer, and I moved them all with a hand jack, and the complete unloading and reloading was done in 35 min. I did have the trailer parked down grade in favor of the full bins. After every pair of bins I was waiting on forklift. One month ago he would have been waiting on me, and the job would have taken 1 hour. I would have had to sit down after doing that also. No so any more, I can just go on to the next task.

Some two years ago I reported on YT discussions that once removed the cast center from rear wheel of Farmall 560, set it on the shop floor, changed it from dish out to dish in, picked it up and put it back on axle. That was probably 35 years ago. At that time I suggested that probably as a result of aging and doing things like that through the years, I was no longer physically able to do these things. At almost 63 years of age, I figure about 3 more weeks, I'd be able to pick that 560 cast hub from ground and place it on the axle.

If you have any blood sugar reading over 7.0, don't mess around, see your Doctor. I am bouncing back quite quickly. I have tried over the years to remain physically active, and have found that increasingly more difficult over past 5 years. I believe that is the reason I am bouncing back as I am. Don't try to self diagnose from my experience, see your doctor.
