The Farmall Super a One lift arm on the right side of the Touch COntrol unit and two on the left. I was pushing a large amount of gravel over the last several Saturday's that had large boulders intermixed in it. My son had borrowed a small backhoe to dig out the boulders as we located them and mooved them out of the way. As oyu can imagine the boulders were a little tough on the blade and hydraulic system from the blade kicking up. I did not realize it at the time but the nut holding the right lift up came loose and allowed the lift arm to start rocking back and forth on the shaft that it is mounted to until worn a large hole around the woodruff key and then allowing the lift arm to break. I am looking to find a replacement arm, but was wondering if I could save the shaft. Part of me is thinking that I could clean up the shaft and perhaps use some JB weld to fill in the gaps between the shaft and the new lift arm. The thought is that if I put a very thin layer of grease on the inside of the new lift arm and then put the JB weld on the shaft and in the hole around the woodruff key that it could dry okay without securing the lift arm to the shaft. Would this work?
