Oops...yes, a 1468, not a 1486. I DID NOT know that about the 4 cyl then 8 cyl arrangement. All these tractors are too new to me. My experience stops after the 60 series. The local grapevine has it that the pump has been juiced on the 1468. From the color of the stacks, this may be true. My neighbor across the road from me clains to have some seat time with this particular 1468 before it was acquired by its current owner. My neighbor says it's the biggest fuel guzzler he's ever been around. Well...DUH! It's likely the biggest HP tractor he's ever been on--you have to put fuel IN to get HP OUT! I'll never quite understand statements like that which I hear frequently.
