we're working on an 856 later model (with the tube radiator cover) ( late 60's model?) and we have a question concerning the bearing (34) in an IT manual. the bearing does not press completely in the bearing cage (37) to seat the bearing outer snap ring. We see no purpose of the outer snap ring, dont see it ( snap ring) in the shop manual. The tractor has a TA in it. We're not sure if it should have the outer snap ring or not. it lacks about .030 for the bearing snap ring touching the cage. Would like to find out either on here or by calling someone. We'd rather do things right the first time and not have to resplit it l
