Tractor won't run with a chrome ring around the exhaust hole in the hood... It's the durndest thing... Just kidding! Seriously, I don't see why you couldn't put a chrome ring around the hole, just don't know why you would want to... What are you hoping to achieve? It's not going to solve the burned paint around the exhaust hole if you work the tractor at all. If it's for looks and you like it, go for it. Some purists might poo-poo the idea, but it's your tractor, right?
