Check the manifold gasket for leaks. Sounds like its running lean. Air leak there somewhere, and or sticking valve, broken valve spring? Magneto or distributor? If it has mag, could be in impulse mechanism. If distributor, with cap off, grab the rotor and try turning back and forth. The advance in distributor may be hanging up. Good luck. Dutch
