My 2 cents: I used to have a (I know) JD 40 with lots of fluid in the tires (I got it that way). It really sank in to my yard, deep ruts. My 140 without fluid leaves ripples from the cleats, but the ruts aren't bad, and a 140 that I borrowed with loaded (why?) turf tires still left ruts where the ground was soft. My plan is to take all the wheel weights off when I mow with the 140. The cleats aren't nearly as ugly as the grass damage from spinning tires.
