During my farming years I had 1 new tractor from each series from letter series through to 66 series. I remember seeing Rock Island and Moline mentioned in literature, manuals and on serial tags. Some may have been built other places as some SM were. Only one in particular I remember was an anouncment on the new 66 series engine plant at Rock Island. The rest of it is a case of having Farmalls and those names being familiar. I lived close to 2,000 miles from IL, thus was not all that familiar with mid west geography.
