I'm bored so I guess I'll throw in on this one too...I have over 3 acres of lawn to mow but I do not do it with my 560, nor do I intend to use my newly purchased 350 Utility. These tractors weigh between 5000 and 7000 lbs. TAI, 3 ton of iron is gonna put a dent in ANYTHING! It sounds to me like you are just plain using the wrong piece of equipment for the job.

I bought a JD240 L&G with a 48' deck a couple years ago, and have not had to mow the lawn since. MzGadget loves that little tractor, and insists on mowing the entire lawn herself. She won't let me ride it! It's HERS!

I still use the bushhog on the bigger tractor around the pasture edges, and the tree breaks, and now have a sickle bar mower for the road ditches. And the 560 with a blade has been the tool I use to clear the driveway in the past (I'm gonna try out the 350 this winter and see how it works) BTW, its a UTILITY tractor, but with fluid in tires and a FE loader, IT weighs 7000, about as much as my 560 does w/o a loader!

I think for the price of a set of a new set of tires you could get yourself a decent L&G with a hydrostat, and not have to worry about ruts, and mybe even be able to get the little lady to mow for you.
