Not sure on the H, but the M has a problem with the bull gears sucking broken ball bearings up. When a bearing fails, the balls lodge between the bull gear and case, and break the tranny case as they travel around. Of the 5 M's I have, all but one are broken and welded. I think the H may have enough space for the balls. Don't know for sure though. Other than that, the blocks will be the first to go. Most derelict tractors I find have stuck or broken blocks. Most everything else that is cast is in great shape.
