A new cub head is $139 - 159. I put a "good" used head on my cub and it took two weeks to fill the oil sump to over flowing with water. Bubbles in the rad are a sure sign of trouble. A leaking head will allow your compression to escape. Put a new gasket and head (-<$200), she will still run for thirty years more. If you are so inclined do her all, they do not de-value.
