Donald: If the clutch and TA are properly adjusted it shouldn't make any difference whether TA lever is ahead or back. The short linkage between clutch shaft and TA shaft, is designed to release TA clutch as the main clutch releases. In essence that short linkage does exactly same as if you pull back on TA lever. Technically these tractors are never have TA in high when clutch pedal is depressed, if properly adjusted.
