I got a 48 Cub I use to mow with and have a problem that I could use some help with. The throttle level just froze up, was working fine and I backed the lever off and noticed it seemed a little stiff then when I opened it back up it has stuck and will not move at all ! As luck would have it, It is stuck wide open so I could finish mowing with it but now want to find out whats going on ! I've never owned a Farmall before so I know little about them so any help would be great befor I go tearing into it! Any Ideas where I should start? Dose this lever rod run to the governor? The governor seem's to be working as the load vary's on the motor? Any help would be great ! The grass is growing so I need to get her going!

The young person asking questions received positive feedback and advice from total strangers who "told it like it is" with the care many reserve for their own kids. The advice is timeless... so although it isn't necessarily antique tractor related, it will be prominently displayed in our archives to honor those who have the courage to ask and those who have the courage to respond in an honest, positive manner.
