It doesn't matter what motor you are working on all inline sixes are numbered 153624....when in school they taught us to remember the order this way 15 too young 36 too old 24 just right. You can also pull the cap and see which way the rotor will advance to tell the rotation of the dist without cranking it over, or on a car whith vaccum advance just look at the advance can and how it will pull the points without even pulling the cap off.
