I think I bought the same rockguards as you. I rebuilt an old 16A rear mount mower for my 42A about 3 years ago. I mowed about 10 acres with it for 2 years and they held up fine! I also bought a new cutter bar fron Case IH for about $70 if I recall. And I think I got some aftermarket holdowns also. Last year I started using a bushhog behind another diesel tractor I own because I wasnt baling, and the bar was plugging from previous cuts. But I thought for the price, not bad on those rockguards. You might try retightening those rockguards after a trip around the field!
