I am going from memory here, and I have never owned one, but it seems the NH balers like that were sort of picky on the amount of hay being fed in. I believe some say a higher ground speed or larger windrows keeping the feeder full helps. I have seen several posts over on the implement board on this, so you might do some searching on "banana bales" over there as that is usually what they refer to them as due to the shape.
