Manifold studs

Forgot to ask in previous post but on both of the 300U heads I have both are missing 2 or 3 studs that hold on the manifold. I tried removing one from the spare head with some vise grips but they are not moving. I didn't come on too hard as I didn't want to break them off. Any tips on getting them out or should I get new studs? Also the long studs on the top of the block that head slides over are loose. Not all but some are not very tight at all. I was thinking of removing them and putting some type of sealer on the threads. What type of sealer should I use?
