Usually inexpensive equipment/fleet paints are Alkyd or Synthetic.They dont paint cars with these because of their lack of durability to UV exposure and fade/chalk readily.Autos will use Acrylic Enamels or Urethanes,as these are the most expensive paints.Normally,the low end paints are called Fleet,Tractor,or Equipment paints.These are for machinery that lives a hard life,and isnt a trailer queen or show tractor.
Much like you wouldnt paint an OCC chopper with Rustoleum.
