Nick: These old letter series Farmalls just don't work like your modern day automobile or light truck. When you come in from using tractor, let it sit and idle 2-3 min. They are the same on start up, need to be warmed up before you head out.

Think about the evolution here, just a few short years before the Super A had it's heyday, you went to the barn in the morning, fed, watered and harnesed the horse, then you were ready to work. At the end of the day you always Un harnesed, fed and watered the horse. If you worked him hard that day you took time to brush him. You just think of that idle time as taking time to brush the horse. Why you can even do other chores while grooming the Super A.

This time spent at beginning and end of day will reap huge rewards in engine life.
