The driven end needs to be washed in solvent or kerosene. I just flush with the kero and then blow clean as this is the procedure recomended in the owners manual. Mite not hurt to relube the gears that turn the rotor just be sure to get them in time so the rotor pionts to the correct tower on the cap.
