Before I rebuilt mine, the valves would get hot & stick while mowing uphill, After it cooled down a little it would run fine. It might be a fuel flow problem too, take the fuel bowl down, & get a piece of hose that will fit over the fuel outlet. Blow back into the hose, & see if it unclogs the drain hole. If that"s it, you just need to clean the tank. If it"s sticking valves, start using some lead substiture.
