The reason I fill cylinders on stuck and unstuck engines that have sat that long it so the rings aren't dry and also to remove/coat the cylinders since they will have some rust on them no mater what. Your a lot less likely to have problems with and engine if that is done then if you don't do that. Every tractor I get that has sat I will do that just to make sure it gets the upper cylinders lubed before I ever start it.
