The ENGINE serial number, not the tractor serial number. Tractor and engine serial numbers did match, for a while, but that doesn't mean that somebody didn't switch out the engine on this tractor. Unless he's missing some digits from the tag number, the tractor's a 1940 with a 1950 engine. Can you tell how many digits you can't read on the serial number tag?
