Important tip I learned from nearest IH parts man in NE
WI when I worked on my 1948 SA a couple of years ago. The head gasket for the SA with thermosiphon cooling (no H2O pump) has larger holes for coolant circulation than the gasket for the SA with H2O pump. You want no restrictions in a thermosiphon cooling system. He stocked both gaskets and showed me the difference. Don't be fooled if someone tries to tell you that they're the same.
