My "44 A (since sold) had hydraulics added. The unit was an older type power steering pump. It was mounted on the left front side. Looks like it took some engineering too. Can"t remember if only 1 belt was used to spin fan and pump or if a separate pulley was added to the fan. In any case, it worked well, lifting a very heavy front mounted blade. If you go this route, be damn sure you use proper hydraulic fittings and hoses throughout the system, lots of pressure there. This one had been converted to 12v also and had an alternator, and I remember now that the extra belt spun the alternator and the pump. The mounting bracket(s) bolted on with the alt.
