Ed: I've been running Champion D-16 for years. My Super A, 130 and 140 all have D-16, and most of them 5 years old by now. I never experience any misfiring. I will admit when I used the SA and 130 commercially I did change plugs every two years or so. I regularly see guys on discussions running down Champions. I have great luck with them. D-16 worked well for me back when these tractors were new and they still work well for me. Rarely do I ever have a problem running or starting. I will add this, until I changed my tractors to alternator charging, I had all kinds of problems. I think I have a bushel of old electrical parts from those generator days. In my opinion most of those old generator systems are only half working, batteries are never up to full charge, thus nothing ever works 100%.
