There was an optional high speed 4th for the M, as well as an optional low speed first. Not very easy to find though. Both upper and lower shaft gears must be changed and for the low speed 1st, the bottom shaft must be changes out, as the 1st speed gear is cut into the shaft. I think W-6 gears are different than the M but would fit and may give you a higher speed but you have to change at least two gears, maybe three to get things to work. As John said, the I-6 has high speed 4th, about 7.5 mph even with the smaller tires on the 6.
