OHHHH! So THAT's what they mean by quick disconnect ! It's all so clear now ! The bracket holds the collar and the male end holds the insides of the female end . If the male end is tugged on it pulls the insides of the female and the collar stays still inside the bracket which opens the connection ! Clever ! ...A hydrualic idiot

PS ; We use the same type of connectors in construction but without the bracket . Does anyone use the dripless type very much ? They are the ones that are flat on the ends that mate . They stay cleaner and ya don't lose that tablespoon of oil every time they are joined or removed .
