Hi Scot_c, it has been a long since I helped my brother replace one of those bearings in the drive shaft but if I remember correctly we took the pulley off the kicker end and pulled the shaft out the front. Replaced the bearing and slid the shaft back in place. Re pulley on front, I believe there is a C-clip on the end of the shaft that holds a sprng against the front portion of the pulley. Becareful the spring is under considerable tension. There was no oil in the shaft of my brother's #10 kicker. Good luck JB2
