I dont own a Cub but do have a 42A and 49 Super A. I came to this forum a few years ago and asked the same questions. That field behind my tractor gets pretty steep down on the lower end, steep enough were the tractor front gets real light coming back up the hill with a rear mount sickle mower. Had to use front weights to keep her down. Best advice, which was given allready was keep the offset side towards the hill on your turns and mow up and down the slope keeping tractor parrallel with the slope, go slow to start and if it dont feel right dont do it!
