Hi Diana, my experience with voltage regulators and Diesel engines is not good. My theory is that the problem is once a Diesel is started and the battery is recharged, the current draw on the battery is so low because there is no ignition system to feed, so the contacts in the regulator just sit and chatter all day. The way to solve this problem is to run with the head lights on so there is some current draw or convert to an alternator with a built in electronic regulator. Running with the head lights on during the day presents its own problem as the operator tends to forget to turn them off. Do you have picture of the 350D in the mud? Years ago when I was young and I like to say inexperience others say foolish, I was disking a field with a 300U and went into a wet hole. Buried the 300U right up to the running boards. Our other tractor was a JD 420U and it couldn't pull the 300U out. JB2
