The speed is 5 1/8 with 12.4-38 tires. On rough ground you may find this too fast, 3rd is 4 1/4. I have calibrated a sprayer many times with water only simply by running about 1000 feet beginning with a full tank, then adding water until full again. there will be variation from nozzle to nozzel, if that is important to you can check each individual nozzle -- I see no need to unless you have to have it perfect. Depending on what you are using, the results with the chemical included may be slightly different, usually lower due to higher viscosity, so it's best to calibrate with the actual chemical. Again, I usually don't.
