Then why is everyone telling you to check the fuel lines??? Solve the "cuts out after 15 minutes" problem later. Get the tractor so it will run first.

What happens when you push the button? "CLICK?" Nothing at all?

How confident are you in the quality of this so-called "rebuilt" starter? It wouldn't be the first time someone did a hack-job on a starter rebuild.

Hook a $3 Harbor Freight voltmeter across the battery terminals. Hit the starter button. What happens?

If the voltage doesn't go down, you don't have a connection, and your "shiney tight" connections are the problem. One or more of them is neither shiney nor tight.

If the voltage goes to zero, you've got a bad battery, bad starter, or a dead short in the system.
