Van, We have some ground here in Mid-Michigan which is perfect for determining HP. If your H can pull a 3-16 plow through this clay, you probably have a 50 hp tractor. If 2-16 is the best your H will do, then you have 35 hp. If you have to settle for a 2-14 plow, then you have a good original HP H with about 24 to 26 HP. Seriously, your H was rated at 25 hp + or - one hp or so. through the years, folks have been known to install larger pistons, M&W kits which boost the HP. The Farmall M had 34 HP, and the W9 was 48 hp, and needed all of it to pull that 3-16 plow in this clay.
